Education + Connection
Periods can still be shrouded in shame and secrecy!
That’s why I created Period Parties: inclusive, age-appropriate events where children learn about their bodies, build confidence, and feel supported.
A Snapshot of Why This Matters
Better education = more confidence: Children who understand their cycles are less anxious, better prepared, and manage menstruation with dignity
Reducing stigma through openness: Schools and programs teaching menstruation comprehensively build empathy, improve wellbeing, and even reduce absenteeism
Including boys & men builds support: When male caregivers and adults participate in menstrual education, it normalizes the conversation, breaks taboos, and fosters healthier relationships
Planning Your Private Party
Party Prep Guide: A downloadable booklet to help them prepare, explain what to expect, and set the tone for a comfortable, supportive experience.
Exclusive Adult Resource Page: A private webpage with follow-up tools, handouts, and answers to common questions—so adults can continue the conversation confidently. The page is hosted online to keep the page up to date with edits or new forms.
Live, Interactive Session: Fun, age-appropriate education with visual aids and real products (pads, period underwear, etc.) to explore and demystify.
Adult Participation: The option for an adult (mom, dad, or another support person) to attend, ensuring ongoing support and informed follow-up discussions at home.
Partnering with Schools & Communities
Pre-Program Support:
Planning Consultation: A short call or email exchange to tailor the content to the age, needs, and cultural considerations of the group.
Custom Educator/Staff Prep Packet: Key talking points, session outline, and guidance for handling sensitive questions. This can also include, if enough time before the event, to have an optional meeting before the event with adults to train individuals to be prepared for follow up conversations or hard questions.
Parent/Caregiver Info Sheet: A one-page overview schools can send home to inform families and invite buy-in (if appropriate).
During the Program:
Live, Engaging Workshop: Interactive education designed to normalize periods, reduce stigma, and answer questions in a safe environment.
Visual & Product Demonstrations: Age-appropriate visuals and examples of period products for hands-on learning.
Post-Program Support:
Access to Private Resource Page: Follow-up materials for staff and caregivers to keep the conversation going.
Optional Feedback Report: A brief summary of session highlights, common questions asked, and recommendations for ongoing support.
